We were quite excited to finally visit Hawaii which was a dream come true. We were hopeful
that the cruise would be enjoyable and our hope was
fully granted. The Independance, although and older ship was terrific as far as our group
was concerned. The room, although small was very
comfortable and dispite having a toilet that acted like a bidet if you weren't careful was
most servicable and I doubt anyone plans on spending much
time in their room. Our dining pleasure was multiplied by Roy our waiter and Tito our
busboy, the food was good but the service these guys gave was
excellent!! The entertainment whether in one of the lounges or on deck was very
entertaining and worth watching. We particularly liked the constant
Hawaiian Theme to everything including the Sunday Church Service. The excursions only had
one draw back there were so many we would have like
to do and only so many hours in a day. Although we brought no children with us on this
trip I would not hesitate to since the children who were on
the cruise were entertained thoroughly and had a wonderful time. It was also very nice to
have a laundry room available, although it was small it was
right by the theater so you could watch a movie while your laundry was washing and drying.
Our cabin steward, Helen from Sweden was wonderful
and so nice I would have loved to bring her home to work for me. All in all it was one of
the best times I have ever had and one we will repeat in the
future. Thank you for giving me this chance to tell how wonderful we felt about the
American Hawaiian Cruise Line. Sincerely, Peg Slagle
